Topic: ….. FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE – STARTING OUT
What does it mean to become Financially Independent, have Financial Freedom? And how is this related to becoming a millionaire? Can I do this? Absolutely – if you have a system and follow it.
Financial Independence (financial freedom) is being able to live the lifestyle of your choice without actively engaging in work. The way to accomplish this is to create enough passive income to pay for your lifestyle. I’ll discuss options for doing this in future blog entries – as well as my 3 stages of financial independence and how YOU can do this!
Financial Millionaire – is having a net worth of one million dollars or more. That is the total value of your assets (cash, investments, including retirement funds, home and personal goods) MINUS your debts (lines of credit, credit cards, mortgages etc).
Depending on the lifestyle you want (and at which of the 3 stages of financial independence you are at) you may or may not need to be a millionaire to be financially free. At the same time – you can be worth a million dollars and not have it invested in a way that gives you financial independence (the ability to live without having to work!)
