I've spoken with a number of people who are having a tougher time of it lately. If YOU are wanting to increase your profits, here is a quick sure-fire way to drop money to your bottom line. It's honest, ethical and based on the principal of adding constant value to your client or customer.

Many people have businesses in which they have a large amount of volume - this is true of any restaurant, most retail establishments, many product sales - and if you are in a business where you have a large number of transactions, here is an easy way to increase your bottom line by adding value to your clients.

Let's imagine you have several hundred transactions a day - many small businesses have a 1,000 or more actually. Think about the small retail establishment or restaurant, fast food type franchise and the like. Even if you only have a 100 or more transactions, what would it be worth to your bottom line to get a single $1 more added to each transaction.

Instead of seeing this as the classic up sell - what would happen if you say it as the "up value" your client strategy. If you could find a simple item or service that you could add to every transaction that added just $1 of revenue (not to mention, $2, $3, $4, $5 to every transaction), what would that do to your revenues and bottom line in 30 days - a single month? OR 365 days, a full year?

Right now, make a list of ways you could add $1 to $5 in extra value to every client transaction then choose one and start adding it THIS WEEK!

Awareness if the first of three parts of the Conscious Success Formula. Awareness of what? The simple answer is always the same, "Awareness of what is TRUE". It is easy to instead start off when what you think "should" be happening, of what you think is missing, or all kinds of advice about what to be doing.

The best place to start in creating ANY type of success, and this is certainly true with Financial Freedom is with becoming aware of what is true.

What is true about how much money you make?

What is true about what you can afford to spend each month?

What is true about how much you are saving and investing for the future?

What is true about your real priorities and therefore how you prioritize your spending - daily, weekly, monthly, annually?

What is true about what you really need, and must have?

What is true about what you want and could do without?

What is true about how you deal with money? Do you save and not spend or on the other end of the continuum, do you just impulse spend on whatever you want, whenever the mood hits you?

What is true about your relationship with money - is it how you sooth your emotional ups and downs? Are you honest with yourself about how much money you have in your bank account?

What is true about how you and your family talk about money? Is it like a secret or do you openly discuss how much money you have and make joint decisions about how you spend it?

Starting with awareness of what is true is the ONLY way to make solid sound finanical decisions, and without those, you can not find your way to Financial Freedom.

AWARENESS is the real starting point for any type of success and is the first part of the Conscious Success Formula.

Today I was working on my own marketing plan and was thinking about the most valuable marketing tool on this earth. That tool is referrals. Why? Simple - who gives you most referrals? Satisfied Customers! The ones who are your true fans - OR - people who know you and believe in what you are doing, Again, your true fans.

What you MUST do if you want to maximize your success is focus everything that you do on creating raving fans. What I am saying isn't go out and try to manipulate a lot of people or hook wink them with a lot of puff. No - you need to build a rock solid customer pleasing business delivery system. You must provide your customer with such an amazing experience that not only will they never want to leave, they will naturally want to bring their friends and associates to do business with you - because they want them to have the same high quality experiences that they are continually having by being your customer.

This is the most important focus you can have in your business - your customer - then ask them for their refferals. And, when you get them, make certain to show them in a direct and concrete way how much you appreciate it. Send them a Thank YOU note. Give them a GIFT. Make certain that THEY KNOW how SPECIAL it is to you that they send their friends and associates to you.

As with all of life, the real first step to any level of success is AWARENESS. Until you become aware of who you are, what you want, and how you can best achieve it, you can't make any true progress your in life.

One of the most important things I do every day is cultivate greater awareness by doing 30 minutes of a combined mediation and visualization. I mediate by focusing on my breath and when I notice a thought, I just label it as a "thought" and come back to my breath. My mind opens and I become more present. In fact, I first started to mediate over nine years ago. I consider it to be one of the most important tools for opening your mind so that you can actually get out the clutter and start to notice the real millionaire opportunities that are all around you.

This helps me become more aware of what I am wanting and the options for how I can get it in life. It literally helps me create the space in my mind for new wealth ideas to enter. I have all of my one-on-one coaching clients mediate daily - and as a result, instead of just reacting to what they find in their life, they have greater control and focus for getting what they are wanting.

I'll tell you more about my visualizations this weekend. They are how I end my 30 minutes, visualizing my goals and what I want to create with my life.

When I was growing up, both of my parents constantly told me that when we leave this planet, the world should be better off for our having traveled here. This became a part of how I saw life. It is how both of my parents lived. In fact, my Dad, who just turned 88 on July 6, is a perfect example of this. He has spent his entire life looking for ways to help other people. He was Governor of Florida Kiwanis in 1964 and still goes to meetings in Indianapolis as an advisor to Kiwanis International.

What I have learned by looking at my own purpose and helping others is that I benefit as much as those I help. It touches me at deep places to see someone's life or circumstances improve. I feel more connected, and know that my life has more significance, when I make a difference in someone's life.

This is our great calling - to live in away that makes a difference. Through doing this, both we and others become more whole. Giving to others, caring and reaching out, is how we become more complete as human beings. What difference do you feel called to make?

If you want success, you can't afford the cost of playing the victim game.

The Victim Game is about blaming - that is the way that you know that you are playing it.

My boss doesn't treat me right
I can't get a raise, I'm stuck in this job
The Credit Card companies kept sending me more cards, so I spent more
I can't get ahead, my bills are too much
I was late because something unexpected came up

Victim is about blaming and not taking control over your life. It's the game of not winning

If you want to be free financially, if you want to start living the life of greater abundance, then the Game you want to play is called Success. It is played with a whole different set of rules and beliefs.

Here are the SUCCESS RULES:

1. YOU CAN BE, DO, HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT IN YOUR LIFE, PROVIDED:
2. YOU WILL NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS, AND
3. YOU ARE PREPARED TO HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING IT.

It's not about blame. Stuff happens you don't like. That will always be true. How you respond to it depends on whether you are playing a losing game of victim or an empowered game of Success.

YOU GET TO CHOOSE.

Want to stop sabotaging your life and putting up with what you don't want, then make a new decision. Yes, it is that simple - and that hard.

Hard because you actually think that this may not be possible. I can just hear some people saying "but you don't understand". Yes I do. I've been there - the world of victim and blame. Most people have - so you aren't different.

What makes a difference is making a new decision. Make a Decision, right NOW, in the next 10 seconds. How do you want to live the rest of your life?

Hello and Welcome!

Today begins a new series of blog entries on How YOU Can Achieve Financial Freedom.

I am 52, a self-made millionaire, and have been Financially Free - have had Financial Independence for over 10 years. I have been a millionaire since my 20s. If you are determined to get ahead, you too can achieve financial freedom. I am here to help you.

Unlike many people who tell you there is some simple magic pill, I want you to know upfront, that if you are head over hills in debt, if you don't have good money habits, if you spend more than you make - and most people fall into these categories - that you got what you chose. NOW, you can choose a new path, the path to total financial wealth and freedom.

It will take work, energy, and a desire to live differently. You will need to make changes in your mindset, and in your habits. Yet, if you want it, you can get it. Any situation can be changed. I'm here to help you with straightforward, practical ways to reach your financial goals.
